Mission Statement

Our mission is to support individuals with ASD/Sensory Challenges in our own community and in the surrounding Tri-state area by providing sensory kits and training to first responders; ensuring EMS can answer the call to ASD individuals without causing more trauma for all involved including the patients, families and First Responders.

Founders of Snaith Family ASD Sensory Project

Shawn and Elizabeth Snaith

Shawn is a Critical Care Paramedic and Elizabeth is a Behavioral Health Specialist. Together they have 4 children, 2 of which have Autism. They use their personal experiences as Parents of Autistic children and professional expertise to deliver training to First Responders on how to de-escalate situations and reduce trauma to all involved.

Daughter and Co-Presenter

Gracie Snaith

Gracie is Shawn and Elizabeth's Daughter who helps present at conferences and trainings. With her experience as someone who has Autism, she helps to give a first hand look of what it's like to have Autism.

Allison Garlough

The person behind our amazing lap pads! Allison uses her wonderful skills to help stitch together the Snaith Family ASD Sensory Project weighted lap pads! She is very appreciated and the organization cannot do what we do without her!

Aviana Zahara

Aviana helps with our website design and any media issues we have. The organization could not figure out graphic design issues without her!

Treasurer/Secretary

Danielle Guilliams and Chris Guilliams

Together, they form our Secretary and Treasurer of the Board. With a Son with ADHD, Chris's experience in IT and Danielle's experience working in Special Education, they are a crucial part to the background in the Snaith Family ASD Sensory Project Organization.
